Branches of biology
Biology is divided into following branches considering its scope and diversity.
The basic branches of biology are Botany and Zoology.
Botany is the branch which deals with the study of plants.
Zoology is the study of animals.
Still, there are other life forms apart from animals and plants.
Microbiology is the study of the small living organism which can be viewed only with the help of a microscope. Examples are bacteria and viruses
Parasitology is the study of host-parasite interaction.
Genetics is the study of the hereditary information which is transferred from parents to offspring in the form of genes.
Molecular biology is the study of the living organism at the molecular level. An example includes the study of DNA.
Gene sequence is studied to find out the cause of disease.
Pathology is the study of cause origin and the nature of a different kind of diseases.
