Branches of biology

Biology is divided into following branches considering its scope and diversity.
The basic branches of biology are Botany and Zoology. 
Botany is the branch which deals with the study of plants.
Zoology is the study of animals.

Still, there are other life forms apart from animals and plants.
Microbiology is the study of the small living organism which can be viewed only with the help of a microscope. Examples are bacteria and viruses
Parasitology is the study of host-parasite interaction.
Genetics is the study of the hereditary information which is transferred from parents to offspring in the form of genes. 





Molecular biology is the study of the living organism at the molecular level. An example includes the study of DNA. 
Gene sequence  is studied to find out the cause of disease. 

Pathology is the study of cause origin and the nature of a different kind of diseases.  

Biology is a very diverse field including numerous aspects need to be studied in detail and with more comprehension. Biology has revolutionized the field of medicine by integrating latest treatment methods. More research is being conducted to find out the treatment of diseases that were considered incurable.

 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is an in vitro biochemical reaction used in molecular biology laboratories to produce multiple copies of a specific gene sequence. A particular fragment of gene or a gene fragment is amplified by using primers complimentary to sequence needs to be amplified. The technique was first invented by a scientist Kary Mullis in 1983. The procedure functions similar to the DNA replication a natural phenomenon making multiple copies. However, in PCR, we make multiple copies of gene by using a DNA polymerase isolated from a microbe surviving hot springs " Thermus Aquaticus ", as the enzyme can withstand the high temperature needs to undergo the process of polymerization.
